Full-mouth implant treatment: both jaws

Full-mouth treatment restores both jaws. It is often planned together but may be done in stages. Each jaw can use a different approach, for example a fixed bridge on four implants in the lower jaw and zygomatic implants in the upper jaw.

In short
  • Often combines several concepts.
  • Usually several visits over months.

Planning

  • Bite and face proportions are planned first.
  • Temporary teeth protect the healing implants.
  • The final bridges are made after healing.
