A tapered implant narrows towards the tip, following the shape of a natural root. In a randomised trial it served as the "standard tapered" comparison for the NobelActive® implant.45

Recall history
FDA lists a completed (terminated) 2021 recall of one NobelReplace® CC size (RP 4.3 × 11.5 mm) because drivers did not engage properly in some implants, which could delay surgery.6
