Design in plain words
Straight walls make the implant behave predictably in bone of normal density. Tapered implants such as the NobelActive® implant are designed to grip harder in soft bone; which is better depends on the site.13
Sizes
Labelled lengths range from 7 to 18 mm; FDA lists physical lengths of 6.5 to 17.5 mm.1
