1. "Nobel" is a company; the system is what you get
Your implant will be a specific system, such as the NobelActive® implant or the NobelActive® S implant, with a diameter, length and connection. Ask for it in writing; "Nobel" alone is not enough to identify it later.
2. The S Series is new and separate
In 2026 Nobel Biocare added S Series versions of NobelActive®, NobelParallel™ and NobelReplace® implants, all on one NP connection. They are not the same products as the classic versions.3

TiUltra™ and TiUnite® are surfaces used on several systems.67
4. The All-on-4® treatment concept is not an implant
It describes a way to place four implants for a fixed bridge, with long-term studies from the clinic that developed it.8
5. Warranty, MRI, recalls
Nobel Biocare's Warranty Program is granted to the treatment provider (the clinic). It covers replacement of eligible Nobel Biocare products and shipping, not the cost of treatment. 5
Read from the manufacturer's published warranty terms. Your clinic may offer its own separate guarantee; ask for it in writing.
In 2021 FDA cleared a 510(k) titled "Nobel Biocare Dental Implant Systems Portfolio – MR Conditional", covering MR Conditional labeling for the portfolio. 9
MR Conditional means scanning is possible only under specific conditions stated in the labeling. The MRI team must check them; we could not extract the exact conditions from the public FDA document.
6. The team matters most
Planning, surgical skill, your health and maintenance influence the result more than the brand.
In a university cohort of 207 NobelActive® implants, overall survival was 91.5%; survival was lower in patients with both local and systemic risk factors (76.5%) than in patients without risk factors (94.8%). 10
Small retrospective study; shows that patient factors matter more than the implant name.
